Ms. Davey has earned herself the "Lifetime Membership Award" from the Canadian Dance Teachers Association through her thirty years of being a committed member.

Ms. Davey's choreographic works have also been widely recognized, and include the following endeavors: Full-Scale musical productions within her local area (New Liskeard, Ontario); Fashion/Parade/Skating/Syncro-Swimming and Equestrian-based events/trade shows; Olympic Torch Run (Large Group Choreo); Hollywood Stage (DISNEY), Time Square Flash Mobs (NYC); Canada's Wonderland (Main Stage), and the list goes on!

Mackenzie Koch

Koch is a graduate of the Paula Davey Dance School

She began dancing at the age of 3 and instantly fell in love with the art. She is a well-rounded dancer, having been trained in ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, lyrical, and many more styles. Mackenzie joined Davey’s competitive team at the age of 5 and achieved many of her dance goals throughout her 14-year competitive career. She has won many titles while competing, such as “Most Potential Dancer” and “Most Outstanding Dancer”, as well as winning top of the category for many of her solos. Mackenzie has travelled with Davey to Florida, USA, to perform in the Walt Disney World parade, as well as perform on one of the Disney stages inside the park.

During her senior year of high school, Mackenzie accomplished many things. She competed at Xtreme Dance Champions where she was invited to be a part of the Canadian National Dance Team, titled “World Performer’s Canada”.

By being a part of this team, she would travel to Europe to compete in the Dance World Finals against 50 countries and 7500 dancers. In July of 2023, Mackenzie travelled to Portugal for this competition, where she placed 5th in the world for her Senior Tap Solo, and received 2nd place and a silver medal for her Senior Tap Small Group.

In the same year of her partake with World Performer’s Canada, Mackenzie competed at View Dance Challenge where she was invited to join 19 other dancers to travel to Greece. During this travel, she would experience an 8-day dance and performance intensive abroad, as well as put together a performance in a traditional Greek theatre.

Mackenzie wishes to pass down her love for dance to her future students and inspire them as much as Ms. Davey has inspired her.
